Best moveset for Rotom
When fighting Pokémon in Gyms, Rotom's greatest moves are Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt. This moveset has the most overall DPS and is also the finest for PVP encounters.

Rotom is a Pokémon with a plasma body and the form of a lightning rod. A pale blue halo of electricity surrounds it, forming lightning bolt-shaped appendages. It has fangs and blue eyes with a separating line across them. It is believed to resemble a will-o'-the-wisp powered by electricity. Rotom cannot be touched in this basic form without getting electrocuted.
The appliances and Rotom
Rotom is capable of entering and controlling appliances. Beginning with Platinum, it has five more forms, each based on a home appliance, that may be accessible by owning particular products with an unique motor. The appliances owned include a microwave oven (Heat Rotom), a washing machine (Wash Rotom), a refrigerator (Frost Rotom), an electric fan (Fan Rotom), and a lawnmower (Mow Rotom). When Rotom transforms, its eyes and electric aura change colors, as do its aura appendages: red with oven mitts for Heat Rotom, blue with clothespins for Wash Rotom, purple with lightning bolts for Frost Rotom, yellow with air curls for Fan Rotom, and green with a torn strip for Mow Rotom. Rotom often utilize their skills to cause havoc, frequently pulling pranks on unsuspecting individuals, as seen in the anime.
