Weight and Height

In Pokémon GOweight and height are stats related to each individual acquired Pokémon, as well to each different Pokémon species and their forms. Weight stat is shown in kilograms (kg) and height stat in meters (m). Each different Pokémon species and their forms have a standard weight/height stat. The standard weight/height is shown in the Pokédex entry for that Pokémon. However, each acquired Pokémon can vary from the standard value in weight and height causing to several Pokémon from the same species to have a range of possible values for weight/height.

XXS, XS, XL and XXL categories

Each acquired Pokémon can vary from the standard value in weight and height. The variation is random when the Pokémon is acquired and depending on how much it vary from the standard weight/height, it can be classified on the Pokédex into one of the categories: XXS, XS, XL and XXL. The classification is done based on multipliers from the standard value in weight and height. The table below shows the multipliers, as well an example applied to Bulbasaur weight and height.
Type XXS XS Standard XL XXL
Multiplier 0.5 0.75 1 1.25 1.5

Ic height.png Height 0.35 0.525 0.7 0.875 1.05

When Trainer encounter a Pokémon with XXS or XXL weight/height, they have a different glow. The Pokémon with XXS and XXL height count towards the Tiny and Jumbo collector medals, respectivelly.

Records

Once the Trainer catch at least three of any one Pokémon, their Pokédex starts to showcase the records for the largestsmallestheaviest, and lightest specimens them have caught. Trainers who catch XXS or XXL Pokémon or find smaller XS- or XL-sized Pokémon than they caught previously can enjoy a new celebratory message when they break their record. Trainers need to catch at least three of any particular Pokémon to set a record for that Pokémon.

Weight and Height tags

When displaying a Pokémon Summary on Pokémon collection, XXS, XS, XL and XXL tags can be shown on that Pokémon Summary. However, tags for weight are not shown and cannot be searched on Pokémon search. Tags for Pumpkaboo family reflects its form and not the the actual weight/height category. However, in the Pokédex, each Pumpkaboo form has a separated record and the XXS, XS, XL and XXL tags reflect the actual weight/height category for that form.

Trivia

  • XXS and XXL Pokémon encounter different glow, and Size effect were released in December 2022.
  • When encountering Zorua disguised as other Pokémon, the XXS and XXL different glow can occur because it is triggered by the disguised species, but with the Zorua height.
