February 2020 Community Day

Pokemon GO’s Februrary Community Day event is just a few weeks away, which means players have the elusive Pokemon Rhyhorn and its evolutions on the brain now that voting has officially closed. The weekend of February 22, 2020 Pokemon GO players will have three hours to catch as many of the Gen 1 Ground/Rock-type as possible and expand their collection with shiny spawns, evolutions, and hopefully a few more surprises. Pokemon Go fans are already getting ready for Community Day of this month. Set on Feb. 22, this gives players a chance to prepare for the memorable event where increased Pokemon spawns, triple stardusts, and other bonuses can be expected! Mamoswine as an Ice and Ground-type raid attacker: Is 6*L50 Shadow Mamoswine worth it?

Edit: I forgot to consider Zygarde raids, which are also best countered by Mamoswine. It should still be duoable by L30 regular Mamoswines with best friends, but harder than Rayquaza and Landorus. More discussions here . However, there are several downsides that are not frequently recognized, especially for regular Mamoswine . Within its own type, Galarian Darmanitan now slightly edges it out. When compared to others, even non-legendaries like Dragonite, Rampardos/Rhyperior and Electivire/Magnezone come on top, sometimes by a lot. The Rayquaza and Landorus duos, which do require Ice , are so easy that even L30 regular Mamoswine teams do the job . The elephant in the room is that you don’t have to build a Shadow Mamoswine solely as a Ground attacker! Once you build it as an Ice type, you can unlock a second charged move or use Charged TMs to get yourself a top Ground attacker for free!
