February 2020 Community Day

Pokemon GO’s Februrary Community Day event is just a few weeks away, which means players have the elusive Pokemon Rhyhorn and its evolutions on the brain now that voting has officially closed. The weekend of February 22, 2020 Pokemon GO players will have three hours to catch as many of the Gen 1 Ground/Rock-type as possible and expand their collection with shiny spawns, evolutions, and hopefully a few more surprises. Pokemon Go fans are already getting ready for Community Day of this month. Set on Feb. 22, this gives players a chance to prepare for the memorable event where increased Pokemon spawns, triple stardusts, and other bonuses can be expected!

A Better Pokemon Go Community Day

A better community day can be expected as Niantic is allowing players around to vote for the featured Pokemon of the following month! Getting better and better every time, the Pokemon team is dedicated to making every event as memorable or even more memorable as the previous one. This is how the team wants players to feel. That the game is improving along with them! The basic idea of Pokemon GO Community Day is pretty simple: Go out and catch a ton of pokemon for three hours, but this time around things are different. For players who need a little more direction than that, we’ve put together a comprehensive guide full of all the intel you need for the big day. Be sure to keep in mind that this day would be a fantastic time to earn those gold Rock- and Ground-type badge if you haven’t already acquired it. The badge isn’t particular hard to obtain for players who have been around since the beginning, but this is a great opportunity for newer players to catch up. Trainers, Rhyhorn has been selected as February Community Day Pokémon! Niantic has shared that during Community Day, you can evolve Rhyhorn into Rhyperior for the exclusive attack Rock Wrecker. And if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Rhyhorn! Rhyhorn Community Day will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2020. The featured bonus will be 3× Catch Stardust. Community Day for Trainers in the northern hemisphere will run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time, while in the southern hemisphere, it will run from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. From Saturday, February 22, at 12 a.m. to Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. local time, you’ll be able to earn two Sinnoh Stones per set of regular or premium track #GOBattle League battles completed, regardless of whether you win or lose! With the limit of five sets of GO Battle League battles each day—or 25 battles in the GO Battle League total—Trainers have the opportunity to obtain up to 10 Sinnoh Stones! Rock Wrecker

Rock Wrecker is a damage-dealing Rock-type move introduced in Generation IV. Prior to Generation V, it was the signature move of Rhyperior. Rock Wrecker stats are not yet known at this moment. We will update this article once the stats become available. Rhyperior’s current best Rock moveset is Smack Down + Stone Edge, which ranks Rhyperior as the 4th best Rock attacker. We’ll see how much (and if) Rock Wrecker will improve Rhyperior’s performance as a Rock attacker.
