Biology

Porygon-Z has a real body despite being a virtual, man-made Pokémon. It has a fuchsia, ovoid head with a short, blunt antenna extending upwards and a blue beak like a duck. It has golden eyes with black rings, akin to a bulls-eye. The head has separated from the body and hovers slightly above it. It has a fuchsia smooth, ovoid body with a blue ring connecting its limbs. Two limbs are loosely linked to their upper torso and have no traits other than their blue hue. The tail is equally blue and featureless, however it resembles a paddle somewhat.

Porygon-Z was given extra software to boost its skills. The original intention was to give it the capacity to travel into extraterrestrial realms, but that did not work out. Instead, the Pokémon started to exhibit very irregular, unstable behavior and twitching motions, making study impossible. As a consequence, the effort to make Porygon-Z is thought to have failed. This has been linked to the engineer's ineptitude in inappropriately changing its code. Academics can't seem to agree on whether Porygon-Z is a real Evolution of Porygon2 since the upgrade produced instability.

Porygon-Z and its pre-evolved incarnations are the only Pokémon known to be able to learn the moves Conversion and Conversion 2.
