Pokémon GO Safari Zone New Taipei City Event

Want to get a taste of our newest Safari Zone event? We're ecstatic about Pokemon GO Safari Zone New Taipei City. We'll be live at New Taipei Metropolitan Park from October 3 to 6, in collaboration with the New Taipei City government.

Despite being one of the world's most densely inhabited cities, New Taipei City has always worked to preserve the city's biodiversity and natural landscape by repurposing abandoned sites into magnificent new parks. The New Taipei Metropolitan Park is the biggest municipal park in Greater Taipei, and it is well-known for its waterside walkway and fauna. Trainers will be able to discover Scyther, Combee, and various Water-, Bug-, and Grass-type Pokemon throughout the park, as well as more than 60 tourist sites across New Taipei City, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It's your opportunity to make the most of this interesting city while capturing Pokemon to your heart's delight, from ancient old alleys to gorgeous mountain places!

There are no tickets required for this event, and trainers from all around are invited to attend.

The event is co-hosted by the local administration of New Taipei City.

Safari Zone in Pokémon GO In Pokémon GO, New Taipei City was the ninth Safari Zone. Trainers will be able to discover Scyther, Combee, and various Water-, Bug-, and Grass-type Pokémon throughout the park, as well as more than 60 tourist sites across New Taipei City, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Taipei will take place in Da'an Forest Park in Taipei from Friday, October 21, 2022 to Sunday, October 23, 2022, and tickets are available now on sale now!

 

You'll come across Pokémon inspired by Pokémon Air Adventures, such as Flying Pikachu, Snorlax, and Pachirisu.

In addition, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you may find Shiny Finneon—if you're fortunate!

Event Features


Ticket holders for Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Taipei will be able to enjoy the following features and benefits while exploring Da'an Forest Park on the dates and times specified on their event ticket.

  • Increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon
    Enjoy an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon in the wild and when using Incense!

  • Special Research
    You can work to complete a short, event-exclusive Special Research story and earn rewards.

  • Additional Special Trades
    Make up to five Special Trades. Plus, make trades for only half the normal Stardust cost!

  • Event Medal
    All ticket holders will receive an event-exclusive medal.

  • Increased Incense duration
    Incense activated during the event will last for eight hours. Please note this does not apply to Daily Adventure Incense.

  • Increased Lure Module duration
    All Lure Modules activated during the event will last for four hours.

  • Real-world elements
    Take a break from catching Pokémon to snap photos at real-world photo opportunities, collect giveaway items, and more!

Trainers that buy tickets to the Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Taipei event will be able to encounter various Pokémon such as Pachirisu, a regional special Pokémon found exclusively in the Arctic Hemisphere (parts of Canada, Alaska, and Russia).

If you're fortunate, you could even get to encounter a bright fish in a different color form!

Moreover, to commemorate the collaboration between Pokémon Air Adventures and Taipei City, Pikachu dressed in a green T-shirt (tree fruit) is planned to stay in Taipei City for more than a year beginning in October; don't miss it!

When is the 2022 Taipei Safari Zone Event?


The Taipei Safari Zone Event will take place from Friday, October 21st, 2022, to Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, from 10:00AM to 6:00PM local time each day for those who have an Early Access Ticket, and from 12:00PM to 6:00PM for those who have a General Admission Ticket.

How to Access the Taipei Safari Zone Event


You must visit Taiwan in order to participate in this event. The event is taking place at Da'an Forest Park in Taipei. Tickets are currently available if you are able to attend. sale.

NOTE: Tickets are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, are non-refundable, and may only be purchased for one of the three days of the event!

  • Mega Latias and Mega Latios will appear in Mega Raids.

  • Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently in balloons.

  • Pokemon Air Adventures stickers will be available.

  • Confetti will appear on the map.

If you can't make it to Taipei, Pokemon Air Adventures-themed stickers will be available to Trainers worldwide from October 14th, 2022 at 8:00PM local time through October 23rd, 2022 at 8:00PM local time. Spin PokeStops or open Presents to collect them.
