Biology


Mankey is a simian Pokémon that looks like a New World monkey. It walks on two legs and has a round body covered in whitish shaggy fur. It has a nose like a pig's, narrow, red eyes, and triangular ears with brown insides. Brown is the color of the mankey's three-fingered hands, two-toed feet, and the tip of its curved, prehensile tail. It is the smallest known Fighting-type Pokémon, along with Stufful.

Mankey is a physical fighter who is aggressive and short-tempered. When it is angry, it begins to shake and its breathing becomes labored. Its rage builds quickly, making it impossible for its victim to flee. It will rage until it falls asleep, but its rage will live on in its dreams. This causes it to reawaken and become enraged once more. However, the constant release of stress allows it to live a long life. The mankey is found in the mountains, where it lives in treetop colonies. If one becomes enraged, the entire colony goes on a rampage for no apparent reason. When it loses sight of its colony or is left alone to rage, it becomes enraged due to loneliness.

Mankey's favorite food, according to the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team games, is chestnuts. Mankey, on the other hand, usually lacks the dexterity to peel them. After attempting to peel a chestnut's spiky shell, it becomes agitated and rageful. Furthermore, it appears to enjoy bananas in the anime.
