List of Special Research tasks in Pokemon GO



 

Special Research is a narrative mode that follows Professor Willow and her quest to locate rare Mythical Pokémon. When Professor Willow has an icon notice in the bottom right of the screen indicating he has an assignment for you, you can access this. The plot is divided into eight parts, each with its own set of chores to fulfill, all of which become more difficult with each step.

Once completed, players will have the opportunity to get Mythical Pokémon such as Mew.

Each Special Research tale may only be completed once.

Special Research missions, unlike Field Research, have distinct, definite goals stated by Professor Willow, and they cannot be gained by spinning PokéStops.

Players are rewarded for completing Special Research tasks. The Pokémon that may be captured as a Special Research reward, like Field Research prizes, have a predefined minimum IV of 10 in each stat and a beginning Power Up level of 15.

Galarian Mr. Mime, Mew (and its Shiny variation), Celebi (and its Shiny variant), Jirachi, Spiritomb, Victini, Galarian Yamask, Aria Forme Meloetta, Hoopa Confined, and Zarude are presently available exclusively via Special Research. Those Pokémon are set to capture 100% of the time.

When the player achieves level 5, the majority of Special Research missions become accessible. Tasks cannot be removed and can only be performed once. One set of Special Research work may be conducted simultaneously with tasks from another set of Special Research that has yet to be finished.

This is a list of all Special Research campaigns in Pokémon GO. Once a Trainer unlocks any of the Special Research campaigns in this list, they keep that Special Research forever until they complete it.

At level 8, Trainers unlock A Troubling Situation, which introduces Team GO Rocket and Shadow Pokémon. Once A Troubling Situation is complete, Trainers gain access to the currently-active Team GO Rocket Leaders research line. Additional Team GO Rocket Special Research cannot be unlocked while a previous one is in progress, making it possible to miss newer ones.

By completing Professor Willow's many study requests, the research advances and the tale proceeds. The inquiry difficulty level will rise as the tale unfolds. Some tasks and requests will be enabled only when you have achieved a specific level or medal in the game. However, most will only demand you to capture Pokemon, twist PokéStops, toss Pokéballs, battle on towers, and raidsas.
