Ingress Prime Celebration 2018 Event is Here!
Trainers will be able to capture a Shiny Cubone and a blue Ponyta during the Ingress Prime in-game event. In Ingress Prime, blue Ponyta and Shiny Cubone stand in for the blue and green factions, respectively. Trainers of Pokemon GO will also get free themed clothing from Ingress Prime.
How do you feel? Please tell us in the comments.
Update: The event should go live today. A look at Shiny Cubone and Blue Ponyta:
Trainers, Niantic has recently released Ingress Prime, giving all agents worldwide a new spin on their classic game. Despite the fact that we don't often cover Ingress on the Hub, you can get all the most recent Ingress Prime news and leaks on our sister site, Metahub.
UPDATE: EVENT IS LIVE! GO AND GET THAT BEAUTIFUL SHINY PONYTA! Don’t forget to pick up your new Ingress themed clothing from the in-game store. Yaaya created a beautiful info graphic for the event:
For us, as Pokemon GO players, the most exciting part of the announcement is the following message Niantic sent us (and other media outlets) with the Ingress Prime press release:
INGRESS PRIME CELEBRATION IN POKEMON GO: POKEMON GO WILL ALSO FEATURE A CELEBRATORY IN-GAME EVENT WHERE SHINY GREEN CUBONE AND BLUE PONYTA WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR CAPTURE. ADDITIONALLY, PLAYERS WILL BE GIFTED FREE IN-GAME AVATAR ITEMS IN SUPPORT OF INGRESS PRIME.
Ingress Prime features two factions, Enlightened and Resistance, which are green and blue themed, so Cubone and Ponyta make a lot of sense if they want to do a cross promotional event. Here’s how their shiny versions look like:
Pokemon Go news: Shiny Ponyta and Shiny Cubone live for Ingress Prime celebrations
POKEMON GO news this week includes the dual release of Shiny Ponyta and Shiny Cubone to help celebrate the launch of Ingress Prime.
Pokemon Go news this week includes a Shiny Ponyta reveal
As part of the Ingress Prime festivities today, Pokemon Go trainers may now capture two brand-new shiny Pokemon.
This contains a blue Ponyta that was just published today and is currently accessible for capture, as well as a dazzling green Cubone.
Players have also received complimentary in-game avatar goods in celebration of Ingress Prime.
Trainers have verified that both varieties may be captured in the wild, but they have provided no information on whether this release is scheduled or not.
Shiny Ponytas and Cubones are not likely to be found in eggs since they are now spawning in the wild at a somewhat greater rate than normal.
As usual, Niantic hasn't given all the information on how to obtain any of these new varieties.
Therefore anticipate future updates that will provide additional information about what is happening in Pokemon Go right now.
For those who are unaware, Ingress Prime is a new version of Niantic's first augmented reality game.
The updated Prime edition is now available for download on Android and iPhone platforms, where players discover Portals disguising themselves as public artwork and landmarks.
With an entirely new interactive tale to teach players to the sci-fi setting and gameplay mechanics necessary to capture Portals and the potent resource known as Exotic Matter (XM), seeping from them, Agents will start their quest in Ingress Prime.
Open your eyes to an exciting new world in Pokémon GO!
Players must choose a side between The Enlightened and The Resistance after finishing the training since these two groups are engaged in a conflict for control of these sites and the future of the whole planet.
According to John Hanke, the company's founder and CEO, "Ingress Prime is based on Niantic's Real World Platform and acts as a primary engine for innovation surrounding gameplay and technology for all Niantic products.
Since its first release in November 2012, Ingress and its enthusiastic, varied user community have served as an inspiration for the development team to come up with fresh, cutting-edge ideas for how players may cooperate both in-game and outside of it.
The Ingress Prime narrative will develop and alter in accordance with how Ingress Agents engage with one another and the results of Ingress real-world "Anomaly" events, much like the original.
A new dynamic center that serves as the entrance point into the expansive Ingress world will grow as Agents cooperate and compete.
Given that Niantic manages both games, it is probable that we will see more crossover events between the two titles.
When the new Let's Go Pikachu game launches on the Nintendo Switch, fans of Pokemon Go will be able to swap over their Pokémon as well.
Several of the upcoming Pokemon that will have to be captured in Pokemon Go first have already been made public.
