Equinox 2019 Event
Pokemon GO Equinox - This occurrence occurs when spring days approach in the northern hemisphere and fall approaches in the southern hemisphere. For those who are unfamiliar, the equinox occurs when the center of the visible sun is squarely above the equator. It occurs twice a year, on March 20 and September 23, and Pokémon GO commemorates the occasion. So the Equinox event was just announced. The Pokémon GO Equinox 2019 event will take place between March 19th and March 26th. There will be a greater amount of Lunatone and Solrock Pokémon switch places. There are also two new attacks: Acid Spray and Leaf Tornado. We're not sure whether new shiny Pokémon will be accessible during this Pokemon GO event.

Details of the Pokemon GO Equinox event
The Equinox Event follows the Rayquaz raid weekend. As a result, resting will not function.
The Pokémon GO creator, Niantic, is keeping an eye on the habit of regularly releasing new attacks throughout events. The Power-Up Punch, too, was introduced during the 2019 Battle Showdown event. And now, a lot of Pokémon will get new attacks.
It's unclear how much each Pokémon will gain from the new hits, but we'll find out soon.
Additional details are available in the thorough description Equinoxes in Pokemon GO.

Previous Article 3/2/2019: Trainers, take note!
This month (March), a new Equinox event will go live, and new Equinox 2019 event quests have been discovered in Pokemon Go's GM file by the internationally renowned Pokemon Go dataminer Chrales.
The following are the quests:
- Catch 0 Bulbasaur or Chikorita
- Catch 0 Grass-type Pokemon
- Evolve 0 Grass-type Pokémon
- Evolve 0 Grass-type Pokémon (maybe another number)
The event will most likely go live on March 20/21, since this is the day of the 2019 Spring Equinox. Winter comes to an end on March 20 and spring starts (Autumn Equinox in the Southern Equinox – summer and autumn). The event's commencement date has yet to be determined.
Finally, it has not been confirmed, leaked, or teased that Leafon and Glaceon will make their debut at the Equinox event in 2019, since this is the period between the cold/icy/blue season (Glaceon is an Ice Type Pokemon) and the spring/grass/blooming/leaves season (Leafon is a Grass Type Pokemon with leafy ears and tail).
That being stated, March will undoubtedly be an exciting month for all Pokemon Go gamers and enthusiasts! Good luck catching them all!
The next big Pokemon Go event will take place on March 19 at 8 p.m. GMT. The event lasts one week, finishing on March 26 at the same time.
Throughout the duration of the Pokemon Go Equinox festival, the emphasis turns to Grass-type Pokemon.
This implies that Pokémon like Oddish, Exeggcute, Sunkern, and Shroomish will be increasingly common in the wild.
As an added benefit, Lunatone and Solrock will swap hemispheres at the commencement of the event and will stay so for the foreseeable future.
"With spring days beginning in the northern hemisphere and fall swiftly approaching in the southern hemisphere, it's the ideal time to celebrate the impending equinox with some Grass-type Pokemon," Niantic says.
"Fresh seasons, Trainers, bring new experiences!" Let's go out there and GO!"
The Equinox festivities will extend to other aspects of the game, including Raids.
Grass-type Pokemon will be accessible to confront in Raids, so if you haven't yet challenged Rayquaza, you should do so soon.
Field Research objectives and prizes will also alter during the event, providing players with even more chances to meet Grass-type Pokemon.
Niantic has also revealed plans to introduce new techniques to the game, such as Acid Spray and Leaf Tornado.
Arbok, Victreebel, Tentacruel, Muk, Alolan Muk, Quagsire, Qwilfish, Octillery, and Swalot will all be able to use Acid Spray. Leaf Tornado will be taught to Victreebel and Shiftry.
The March Community Day will disrupt the Equinox celebration.
Treecko will be the focus of the forthcoming Community Day, which is wonderful news if you don't have a Sceptile.
The event, which will take place on March 23 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., will allow users to learn a unique special move for their Pokemon.
Lures will endure the whole three hours, like with other Community Day events, and egg hatching distances will be considerably lowered.
Keep yourself safe when playing Pokémon GO.
