Biology

Klink is a Pokémon that resembles two interlocking gears, each with six teeth. The gear teeth are light gray, with a darker middle portion. Each gear's left eye is replaced with a white "X," while their right eyes have a black pupil and white sclerae. They have tiny lips and round turquoise noses. Klink has the ability to throw itself against opponents. Klink and its evolved versions are the only Pokémon known to be able to learn the move Gear Grind. Shift Gear was also one of Generation VII's hallmark techniques. Once two bodies have merged, they cannot be combined with any other bodies or they will split apart. Klink gets its energy by spinning and is usually found in caverns. Professor Juniper thinks the earliest known evidence of this Pokémon was roughly 100 years ago, in the Chargestone Cave; she believes it arrived abruptly in the cave at that time. However, it is also thought that Klink inspired the earliest gears constructed by ancient humans.
