Biology
Gumshoos is a mongoose-like Pokémon with a lengthy body. While it walks on all fours, it can stand on its hind legs with its hands behind its back, much like a person. The majority of its coat is brown, with a yellow underside that runs all the way to the tip of its tail. It has an extra yellow stripe that runs from its brow to between its shoulders. Fur tufts may be seen at its shoulders, hips, and around the base of its tail. These tufts, along with the yellow underside, give the appearance of an open trenchcoat. Its ears are rounded and have a slight notch on the sides of its skull. It features a small snout with a pink nose, a wide mouth full of sharp teeth, eyes almost concealed under its yellow stripe, and yellow fur tufts on its chin. Each of its four tiny legs has three black claws. Gumshoos has a big body and a broad, flat tail with longer hair on the tip, despite its length.
Gumshoos hunts by patiently waiting along its victim's recognized travel paths and pouncing when the unwary prey appears. It can go for extended periods without feeding because of its stubborn mentality and capacity to resist acute hunger.
Rattata and Raticate are its preferred prey, but since Gumshoos is diurnal, it seldom meets them. When the sun goes down, this Pokémon's stamina is exhausted, and it falls asleep where it is. It was transported here to deal with Rattata infestations and is not natively from Alola.
