Biology
Armaldo is a bipedal, amphibious Pokémon that looks like a mantis shrimp. It has thick, grayish-blue plates covering it. It has yellow, black, white, and red highlights all over its body. Its eyes are oblong and protrude from the sides of its skull. The middle of its head was covered in a black pattern with two red teardrop-shaped dots and a yellow lower jaw. Three pairs of wing-like appendages protrude from its long, thick neck. On its back is a plate of armor with four short spikes and two triangular, yellow-rimmed wings projecting from below. Its scaled chest and abdomen are also bordered with yellow lines, and its chest has two big yellow plates in the middle. Its segmented limbs, each with a huge, black claw, protrude from holes in these plates. The legs are segmented as well, with black knees. Its lengthy tail is topped with a pair of black fins.
Armaldo used to dwell on land along the water's edge and dive into the ocean to search for food. Its broad rear wings were utilized for swimming, and its thick shell defended it from hostile assaults. Its powerful claws can smash rocks, pound through steel, and take down prey. They may also be flexibly stretched and retracted. It's said to be the ancestor of various Bug-type Pokémon.
