Slakoth Community Day June 8, 2019
Slakoth, the adorable little sloth Pokémon, is the highlight of Pokémon Go's June Slakoth Community Day.
The event will take place on June 8 from 3-6 p.m. in your local time zone. The event will enhance the spawn rate of Slakoth, with a possibility for them to appear Shiny.
Slaking, Slakoth's complete evolved counterpart, is a good, tanky gym defender, so if you don't already have one, now's your chance.
Although this month's Community Day in Pokemon Go has just finished, Niantic has already revealed the first elements for next month's event. June's Community Day is set for Saturday, June 8, and the featured Pokemon will be another fan favorite from Ruby and Sapphire: Slakoth.
The charming sloth Pokemon will emerge in the wild more often than usual during the event, giving you lots of chances to capture it and stock up on Slakoth sweets. You'll also get your first opportunity to meet a Shiny Slakoth, and any Slaking you develop up to an hour after the Community Day finishes will learn an event-exclusive move, though Niantic hasn't announced what it is yet.
Slakoth Community Day is Here!
During June's Community Day, you'll be able to take advantage of a few more advantages in addition to higher Slakoth spawns. Any Lure module you use will be active for three hours instead of the regular 30 minutes. Furthermore, Eggs will hatch at a quarter of the normal distance, which will come in useful if you're attempting to hatch any of the new Gen 4 Pokemon that were just introduced to the game. Following in the footsteps of previous Community Days, the June event will take place from 3-6 PM local time. Previously, Niantic held Community Days at specified times for each region, but this makes it much simpler to remember when the event is taking place in your area. More information on June's Community Day may be found on the official Pokemon website. Meanwhile, Pokemon Go is undergoing an Extraordinary Raid Week event. From now until May 28, new Raid bosses such as Bronzor and Clamperl will debut. You'll also have a chance to meet Shiny Bronzor and Lapras, and participation in Raids will reward you twice as much Stardust and XP as normal. Aside from the event, Niantic just released new goods that allow you to develop Eevee into Glaceon and Leafeon.HOW DO I GET A SHINY SLAKOTH?
Shiny Slakoth will spawn with normal Slakoth. During the 3-hour event, it will spawn at a faster rate than usual, and it will be added to the permanent pool of Shinies following the event. However, it will respawn at its normal one in 450 rate after this event, so get a pink sloth while you can.
WHAT MOVE DOES SLAKING LEARN?
Slaking will learn Body Slam if developed throughout Community Day and for up to an hour thereafter. Body Slam doesn't help Slaking much as a defender. Given its normal typing, it's much stronger with the fairy-type Play Rough in its charge attack slot to assist defeat the fighting-types that are often used to take down gyms. If you prefer to accumulate Community Day moves, you should get a Body Slam Slaking. Otherwise, continue with Play Rough.HOW DO I MAKE THE MOST OF THE COMMUNITY DAY?
Save all of your Incubators and fill them with eggs once the Community Day event begins. Incubators will hatch eggs four times faster than normal, but only if you use them during the event. Any eggs placed in incubators prior to this date will not get the bonus. Lures, like all previous Community Days, will last three hours, so it's a good idea to scatter them about to maximize your Slakoth spawn rate. Pokémon GO Community Day will take place this month on Saturday, June 8, 2019, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in your local time zone. Not only will you be able to capture a lot of Slakoth during the three-hour period, but if you develop Vigoroth (the evolved version of Slakoth) into Slaking during or up to one hour after the event, your Slaking will learn the special move Body Slam, which it usually cannot learn. Only Slaking developed on Community Day will be able to use this move. On June 8, Shiny Slakoth, Shiny Vigoroth, and Shiny Slaking will also make their Pokémon GO debuts. Lures will also last three hours throughout the event, and eggs deposited in Incubators will hatch four times quicker. Date + Time- Globally June 8, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (local time)
