Previous Story: Trainers, we have discovered a new Sinnoh Celebration 2020 text in the GM file, meaning a new Sinnoh event is on the way.
While digging into Pokemon Go’s GM file, we’ve discovered a ‘Sinnoh Celebration’ text and new cool quests. This means that Niantic and Pokemon Go are working on a new Sinnoh event which will most probably go live sometime in February.
At the moment of ‘digging,’ we’ve discovered a list of ‘Sinnoh Celebration 2020’ quests which can be seen below.
Sinnoh Celebration 2020 Tasks and Rewards
Catch 5 Turtwig, Chimchar or Piplup – 1000 Stardust
Catch 5 Kricketot – Combee
Use a Sinnoh Stone to evolve a Pokemon – Cranidos
Hatch 5 Eggs – Sinnoh Stone
Win a Raid – Hippopotas
Good luck and let’s catch ’em all!
February might be the shortest month of the year, but it is one jam-packed full of events in Pokémon GO. So many that there's one that players might have overlooked: a weekend celebrating everything about Pokémon's Sinnoh region. If you are reading this before 10 pm on February 10, 2020, then you're not too late to be a part of it.
There is a glut of benefits for trainers playing Pokémon GO between now and the end of the Sinnoh Celebration event from shiny debuts to easier to attain Sinnoh stones. The latter is something which has had us grinding Field Research all weekend long. We have a definitive list of every Sinnoh perks active for the event right now. Whether you haven't taken advantage of the event at all or feel like you might be missing a few of its benefits, everything below is a must-read for all trainers.
Sinnoh Starters A-Plenty
First thing's first, the Sinnoh-based Pokémon that are appearing more often during the event. All three of the region's starters, Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, as well as their shiny versions, should be spawning more often. They are joined by Starly, Kricketot, Cranidos, Shieldon, Buneary, Bronzor, and Gible, including shiny versions of those last three. Considering the controversy surrounding the arrival of shiny Gible, that last one should be seen as a big opportunity.

Onto those brand new shiny Pokémon teased a little earlier in this article: Riolu and Hippopotas. It's good but unexpected news for shiny collecting trainers out there, as shiny variations of Pokémon are normally saved for the respective Pokémon's Community Day. Catch them now as, by 10 pm on Monday, they may disappear until the two of them get their own Community Days.
Trainers might have also noticed receiving an increased number of 7km eggs over the weekend. There's also a chance of receiving two in one gift, but only if there is space in your inventory. 7km eggs received during the event will exclusively hatch Sinnoh region Pokémon. The full list of Pokémon that could hatch from 7km eggs this weekend is Combee, Bronzor, Gible, Budew, Riolu, Hippopotas, Mantyke, Shinx, Buizel, Cherubi, and Bonsly.
Precious Sinnoh Stones
As stated above, the thing that has us personally excited about this Sinnoh event most is the ability to stock up on Sinnoh stones. There are numerous Pokémon from various generations that require Sinnoh stones to evolve, but the stones are notoriously difficult to come by. During this event, the research task "hatch 5 eggs" will reward trainers with a Sinnoh Stone. That's a lot of walking to do between now and tomorrow night, but it's totally worth it.

As for the other event-specific field research, there are four other tasks, some of which will earn trainers encounters with Sinnoh-based Pokémon. "Catch 5 Kricketot" will result in a Combee encounter, using a Sinnoh Stone will earn a Cranidos encounter, and winning a raid will allow trainers the chance to catch a Hippopotas, provided it's on their list of research tasks. Last but not least, catching five Chimchar, Turtwig, or Piplup will be rewarded with 1000 Stardust.
The final bonus for the event is a pretty unique one. Any Glacial, Magnetic, and Mossy Lure Modules activated between now and the end of the event will stay active for an hour rather than just 30 minutes. That's it, but remember, time's-a-wasting. As mentioned above, if you are reading this on Monday then there are only hours left to make the most of all the bonuses above. If you are reading this after 10 pm on Monday, then those Sinnoh stones have already returned to being hard to come by once again.

Trainers, finally, at the end of 2019, there is a new event in Pokémon GO - the Evolution Event. By observing Pokémon, we find the wonderful thing - they can turn into amazing and cool creatures. But sometimes they just need a little spur or help. Let's note how our Pokémon have grown this year with the first ever evolution event. In addition, the corresponding raid day will take place.
The evolution of a Pokémon can depend on whether it is of a specific gender or has spent time as a Buddy Pokémon. Sometimes evolution occurs due to certain objects, time of day, or bait modules ... During this event, you will be able to explore all of these unique ways of developing Pokémon.
