Biology
Horsea is a light blue, piscine Pokémon that looks like a seahorse. It features three spike-like fins on each side of its head, crimson eyes, and a long, tubular mouth. It has a cream-colored ridged belly and a single dorsal fin. It is an expert swimmer that utilizes its dorsal fin to swim in any direction while facing forward. When trapped in a strong river, it has a tightly coiled tail that it may utilize as both a balance and an anchor. It utilizes its tail to play with other members of its species in safer areas.
Horsea eats insects and moss collected from rocks. When Horsea detects danger, it sprays its assailant with water or viscous black ink from its mouth. It can fire more accurately against insects flying above the water's surface. Horsea nests on coral reefs and islands all over the world in waters with calm currents. Every year, many eggs are deposited, and the young are nurtured by the male Horsea rather than the female. Horsea swims in a whirlpool-like manner, generating whirlpools in the process. It is common for them to compete to see who can generate the largest whirlpool.
