The September Community Day for Pokemon Go is almost approaching. Roggenrola Community Day is here and this month's event takes place this Sunday and features the rock-type Pokemon Roggenrola, as well as a bevy of other in-game incentives, such as more sweets. Here's everything you need to know about Community Day in September.
When is September's Community Day?
The September Community Day for Pokemon Go will occur on Sunday, September 18. The event lasts from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time, with extra four-star Boldore raids lasting until 10 p.m. local time after that.
September's featured Pokemon: Roggenrola
The focus of this month's Community Day is Roggenrola, a rock-type Pokemon originally seen in the Nintendo DS games Pokemon Black and White.
Roggenrola will occur in the wild considerably more often than usual during the event, giving you more chances to capture it and stock up on Roggenrola sweets.
There will also be more possibilities to get Roggenrola via a new paid Research tale called Rock 'n' Roll. This narrative may be accessed by buying a $1 virtual ticket from Pokemon Go's in-game item store.
How to get shiny Roggenrola
With more Roggenrola spawns, you'll have a higher chance of seeing a shining Roggenrola during the event. There is no sure method to summon one, but you will have a better chance if you light an incense, which causes additional Roggenrola to sprout in the wild around you. If you persevere, you'll ultimately come upon a gleaming Roggenrola.
Event move: Meteor Beam
Niantic
Roggenrola will not only emerge more often on Community Day in September, but it will also be able to learn a unique event-exclusive attack upon evolving.
Before 10 p.m. local time, each Boldore you develop into Gigalith will learn the rock-type Charged Attack Meteor Beam. In trainer fights, this move has 120 power and 140 power in gyms and raids.
Boldore may be evolved in two ways in Pokemon Go. The first method is to give it 200 Roggenrola candies. Alternatively, if you get Boldore in a trade from another player, you may develop him without paying any candy.
Other bonuses
Aside than higher Roggenrola spawns, there will be a few in-game benefits available for September's Community Day. During the main event hours (2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time), you'll get twice as much candy for capturing Pokemon, and eggs put in incubators will hatch in half the time. Furthermore, lure modules and incense will last three hours instead of the customary two.
As previously stated, when the event concludes, extra Boldore raids will take place in gyms from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time. When you complete one of these raids, Roggenrola spawns will rise around the host gym for 30 minutes.
There are still a lot of events going on in Pokemon Go this month. The Test Your Mettle event, which runs through September 21, has brought Mega Aggron to the game, as well as two additional Ultra Beasts: Kartana (in the Northern Hemisphere) and Celesteela (in the Southern Hemisphere) (in the Southern Hemisphere).
Roggenrola is the next Pokémon to take on the prestigious title of Pokémon GO Community Day's featured Pokémon. The Unova region's Rock-type Pokémon brings its fierce—and mysterious—energy to September's Community Day, which will take place on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. Roggenrola will become increasingly common in the wild, and dedicated Trainers may even be able to track down a Shiny one! Evolve Roggenrola's first Evolution, Boldore, during the event or up to five hours later to get a Gigalith that understands the Charged Attack Meteor Beam.
In addition, the following bonuses will be in effect during the event.
1/4 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event.
2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for catching Pokémon.
2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
Incense activated during the event lasts for three hours.
Trades require 50% less Stardust (active until 10:00 p.m. local time).
One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day (active until 10:00 p.m. local time).
Rock 'n' Roll is a Roggenrola Community Day-exclusive Special Research article on rock and roll. Trainers may buy tickets in-game at $1.00 USD (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Trainers may also buy tickets for friends with whom they have a friendship level of Great Friends or above. Simply touch the Gift option when buying a ticket to give the gift of rockin' research. Certain limitations apply.
Bonus Raids
From 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. local time, four-star Raid Battles starring Boldore will be available. After beating Boldore in a Raid Battle, Roggenrola will emerge for 30 minutes in a 300-meter radius surrounding the Gym that hosted the raid. Trainers who are lucky enough may even come across a Shiny one! These four-star raids are only accessible via Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes; they cannot be joined with a Remote Raid Pass.
