In celebration of Japans Golden Week , Niantic will be luring Japanese Trainers to McDonald’s’s Golden arches for a Pokémon GO McDonald’s Lure Event! Like with the Lapras and
Snorlax events, Japan is receiving another region exclusive event. This is not a huge surprise since Pokémons roots are from Japan.
When Golden Week 2017 Start
Starts: April 29th 2017 at 6:00.
Ends: May 7th 2017 at 24:00.
What
Japan has over 2,500 PokéStops. During the event, Lure Modules will be triggered at McDonald's restaurants from 6:00 to 24:00.
History
There has been an asset with the McDonald's logo since the initial field test APK [0.13.5] was issued on March 16.
After the field test, Pokémon GO became online in Japan on July 16 with APK [0.31.0]. With this launch, the collaboration with McDonald's was made public, and 2,900 McDonald's locations
were converted into PokéStops, while 400 were converted into Gyms.
According to
Bloomberg, this partnership helped save McDonald’s’s from selling it’s stakes in Japan. Comparing their March sales between 2016 and 2017 showed an increase in profits by 17%. Shares for McDonald’s Japan have also rose 12% so far this year.
Pokemon GO update event taps McDonalds and rural upgrade
It was stated back in December that spawn rates for Pokemon of all types will rise in rural and suburban regions of Pokemon GO. As it turned out, additional Pokemon appeared - and after Gen 2 was published, the number of non-pidgey Pokemon expanded significantly. Trackers like Koerrie on Reddit noticed that most Pokemon spawn in the following way shortly after reports of higher spawning spread:
• The 15-minute spawn-rate per site has been reduced.
• In-game spawn rate of 30 minutes
• Pokemon stay in place for 30 to 60 minutes.
The pace at which Pokemon vanish becomes more essential than the number of spawn locations in any particular region. If a single player has a single spawn site at home that permits Pokemon to stay for 60 minutes after spawning all the time, there's a decent possibility they'll encounter a couple of these creatures throughout the day.
Before, it was possible - not often, but sometimes - to witness a Pokemon Run Away and then respawn in the same location within 15 minutes. It is no longer an option in 2017. Instead, we're seeing a lot more Pokemon remain put with one-shot (no running away) action.
A Reason for Returning Old-School Players
The most significant alteration occurred shortly after Halloween in 2016. Niantic increased the spawning significantly after Pokemon GO made CASH from the event that generated a BUNCH more Ghost-Type Pokémon. In 2017, we're seeing more customizing for consumers who don't reside in large cities.
Absence of spawns in rural and suburban locations throughout the globe looked to be a major source of stress for early players who did not stay around for subsequent huge developments. Those who began playing the game in early 2016 but left due to a lack of in-game activity - the irritation was genuine, but it was no longer required. If you're reading this, initial players who left, now is the opportunity to return!
The current modification seems to be server-side for all players and raises spawn frequencies in various rural and suburban regions. Please let us know if you've seen any notable changes recently, as well as the geographical region in which you reside. Don't be too particular!

Pokemon GO McDonald's USA Event
If Niantic really intended to leverage its license with McDonald's, they would suggest to the firm that they hold a comparable "Lure Event" in the United States. Not right now, and not this month, since Nintendo is already pouring money into McDonald's for Mario Kart. Instead, they'd be wise to wait for the eventual Pokémon Switch game.
This and that game are intrinsically linked by their common love of Pikachu and Pikachu eating cheeseburgers. A Pokestop-filled month Lured at McDonald's with Pokemon toys, everyone had a nice time. It would be the genuine monster event, with a cross-branding selling boom.
