Charmander Community Day in May 19, 2018
The next real-world event for Pokemon Go is just around the horizon. This weekend is Niantic's Community Day, and the company has finally announced this Charmander Community Day which unique move users will be able to get this time.
The iconic Red and Blue starting Pokemon Charmander will be featured during May's Community Day on Saturday, May 19. Charmander will appear far more often than normal during the event, and if players develop it into its ultimate form, Charizard, it will learn the strong Fire-type move Blast Burn.
Charmander Community Day is Here!
"Pokemon GO" maintains its monthly Community Day practice of bringing communities together. Charmander and its evolutions were chosen as the Pokemon Niantic featured for the month of May. As with every Community Day, the evolutionary line is highlighted with a unique move. The unique move in this scenario is Blast Burn, a two-bar move that does 100 base damage. Following the fourth Pokémon GO Community Day, Niantic, the creator of Pokémon GO, has officially announced the fifth Pokémon GO Community Day. The forthcoming global event will take place on Saturday, May 19, for three hours and will include enhanced Charmander spawning in the wild. It will also have three-hour Lures and triple catch Stardust. According to previous Community Days, Shiny Charmander will also make its Pokémon GO debut. If a Charmeleon develops on Community Day, Charizard will learn a unique move that has yet to be revealed. The following are the times for the sixth Pokémon GO Community Day: As with past Community Days, participants must evolve or capture a Charizard before the event concludes in order to learn Blast Burn. If a Charmander or Charmeleon is caught before to the Community Day, it will know the attack if it evolves during the event hours, but the Pokemon will no longer be able to learn Blast Burn after the event is over. In addition to higher Charmander spawning, any Lure Modules engaged during the Community Day will last three hours instead of the regular 30 minutes. Niantic is also providing a bonus to those who participate in the event. Everyone will earn triple the regular amount of Stardust for catching Pokemon this time. As is customary, this month's Community Day is just three hours long, and the event starts at various times depending on where you reside. The following is the event schedule for each region: North America- 11 AM - 2 PM PT
- 2 PM - 5 PM ET
- 10 AM - 1 PM BST
- 12 PM - 3 PM JST
